Paradiski – the French ski region that encompasses the skiing of Les Arcs, La Plagne and Peissey Vallandry celebrates 10 years this winter since the spectacular Vanoise Express double decker cable car connected the area, one of the world’s largest. Since the lift started running on 20th December 2003 some five million people have made the crossing.
Among the planned celebrations, two of the world’s best tightrope walkers plan to walk across a high wire strung between the two cable cars, 380 metres above the valley floor, on 16th December and the French haute-couture designer Jean-Claude DeCastelbajac will cover the two cable cars in a “unique creation” yet to be revealed.
