Ski equipment retailers have reported online sales growth averaging around 40% during the pandemic lockdown, but as physical shops begin to re-open they’re looking at ways to get business growing again whilst maintaining health and safety requirements for shoppers and store staff.
One of Snow+Rock’s responses is to launch a new in-store appointment service with their knowledgeable staff providing a personalised service including kit recommendations and a variety of bespoke in-store fitting services.
“The appointments are free to arrange, in-store or online, and come with no obligation to spend. By booking an appointment, customers get priority in-store service at the pre-arranged time,” said a Snow+Rock spokesperson.
In line with government advice, there will be several new store processes and policies in place to help keep customers and store staff safe. These include one-way systems, limiting the number of customers in-store at a time and constantly reviewed hygiene measures.
Snow+Rock wintersports appointments options include a 90 minute Ski/Snowboard Boot Fitting with a comprehensive fitting process for ski or snowboard boots, accommodating the customer’s experience level, strength, pronation/supination, width and instep volume as well as comfort and performance of the boot for their purpose. This can be supplemented with a custom footbed for a personalised fit and ultimate comfort, backed by Snow+Rock’s Ski Boot Fit Comfort Guarantee (T&Cs apply).
Alternatively a 30 minutes Electronics Advice appointment provides an explanation and demonstration of GPS, smartwatch, fitness tracker and action camera devices is also available.
