Sleeper Ski Train From Paris To The Alps Returns

Almost a decade after the French government axed sleeper trains between Paris and the Alps, the service returns this winter as a charter service from holiday company Travelski.

The Travelski Night Express, which can be accessed from London via Eurostar with a station change in the French capital (Gare du Nord to Paris Austerlitz), is an exciting way for Brits to reach top resorts like Méribel and La Plagne.

Starting 19 December 2025 through 20 March 2026, the Travelski Night Express will run 14 return trips between Paris and Bourg-Saint-Maurice, with stops including Moutiers and Aime. The train features 660 berths, a bar-restaurant car, and a range of accommodation options—including private cabins and dedicated spaces for solo female travellers.

Departing Paris on Friday evenings and arriving Saturday morning, the service allows skiers to maximise their time on the slopes. Resorts served include Méribel, La Plagne, Val d’Isère, Les Arcs, Tignes, Courchevel, Val Thorens, and Les Menuires.

Travelski packages include train travel, transfers, accommodation, ski passes, and optional equipment hire.

The relaunch marks the first sleeper service between Paris and Bourg-Saint-Maurice since 2016, and reflects a growing demand for low-carbon travel to ski destinations. Resorts like La Plagne are championing rail as the most sustainable way to reach the slopes.
