Scottish ski centres have enjoyed one of their best weekends in years with superb conditions and around 6,000 people on the slopes at the five centres on Saturday with great snow, blue skies and calm conditions.
The only problem was that there was so much snow big tailbacks built up of skiers trying to get on the slopes as centres reached capacity and were forced to stop selling tickets.
Aonach Mòr today. The snow’s pretty rubbish. I probably wouldn’t bother going 😉

Sunday saw strong winds and blizzard conditions at times and Nevis Range was forced to close.
This week will see warmer temperatures but the centres are hoping rain in the valleys will be snow at higher elevations. Currently though double digit temperatures are being forecast at valley level by the weekend so that could cause some thawing if it turns out as expected.
