The 2017-18 ski season has not yet begun for most tour operators but, as is traditional, the UK’s biggest tour operator Crystal have today launched sales on their 2018-19 ski holidays for those who like to secure their package a good way ahead.

Ski Holidays on Sale

In an interesting twist, this time, 2018-19 ski holidays on sale run to April 2109 – several weeks after the UK is due to leave the EU following Brexit on March 29, 2019

Currently, there are a lot of unknowns about the UK’s relationship with EU countries, which are home to the majority of Crystal Ski destinations.  It’s unclear whether there will be more complex travel arrangements and additional costs for holiday providers.

However, Crystal’s management has previously said that they will cope with these currently uncertain circumstances when they arrive, noting that their 18-19 programme only runs for a few weeks into the start of the period after the UK leaves the EU.

Late Easter

Easter Sunday is quite late in 2019 – on April 21st.

For those looking for really early booking offers, Crystal has a 2for1 lift pass offer in Canada which runs all winter for Jasper (book by 30 April 2018) and is also available at Tremblant and Panorama (except Christmas, New Year, February half-term) if you book by 31 May 2018.  Helpfully in these circumstances, Canada isn’t in the EU.

Crystal is also offering £100 off childcare if you book before 30 April 2018 and get £100 off full-day Crystal child care. The offer is valid for Pepi Penguin and Whizz Kids clubs for children between the ages of 6 months to 11 years in selected accommodation and dates in Alpe d’Huez, La Plagne, Tignes (France)  and Passo Tonale, Claviere (Italy).

Crystal Ski Holidays also offer free child places on every departure date and have lift pass included deals in La Clusaz and Chamrousse.

Prices start at £395 per person (based on six sharing) for a week’s self-catering at the Planibel Apartments in La Thuile, Italy departing on 8th January 2019 from Gatwick including airport transfers.
