Courchevel reports that more than 10,000 people tackled its World Cup ski slope in ‘competition conditions’ last winter.

The 3 Valleys resort has introduced a new automated videoing service for anyone who wanted to have a go at the World Cup slope in the Emile-Allais stadium.

The BMW xDrive Skimovie works completely seamlessly with a timer and the videoing system set off as you begin your run thanks to it recognising the RFID chip in your lift pass.

Once you’ve completed the run it can be viewed at the Forum next to the Sports Club and download  for free at www.bmw-mountains.com.

The 3.2km long course, with a 500m vertical drop, opened in 2012 with the last World cup race staged here as recently as 2014.
