Luxury Superyacht To Feature Ski Slope

An as yet unbuilt and apparently not-yet-ordered-by-anyone superyacht which features a four storey indoor ski slope has been designed by an Austrian company, famed for its extravagant designs.

The design of the 280m long superyacht is based on oil super tanker dimensions, and is more than half as long again as the current biggest yacht, which is a meagre 180m in length.

Designed by Austrian company MOTION Code: BLUE, apart from its ski slope, the ship called Imara would include  three helipads, clubs, tennis courts, theatre and concert halls and guests would use a fleet of electric cars to drive around the ship rather than having to walk or ski between its different parts.

The company describe the vessel as an, “upcycled oil tanker (used) as a private luxury floating residence.”

Details of the ski slope, and whether it will have a synthetic or indoor snow style surface are currently unknown.

There have been reports in recent years of cruise liners considering installing ski slopes as an added attraction in the increasingly intense PR Battle to offer more attractions to their customers and stay ahead of the competition.
