All John Nike Slopes are covered in Perma-Snow, which is a carpet style surface with a special padding under the top layer to absorb impacts and replicate snow. It’s ideal for freestyling on as its a lot more forgiving than the traditional diamond mat.

The Perma-series is a way for all abilities of freestylers to come to a John Nike Slope and have some fun. Prizes are not given out just to the best but for all those who try new tricks or just have fun.

Ryan Grewcock is organising the events and wants them to become a celebration of the start of the winter season. “we have great support from a lot of companies who are helping with prizes, with more coming on board everyday. It’s the time of year when all the UK snow-sports market is in full swing and looking forward to a great season.”

The entry price is low for 6 hours on the slope to allow people to enjoy the slopes. The 5 events are:

– Saturday 22nd September 2012 – 4pm – 10pm – Plymouth

– Saturday 6th October 2012 4pm – 10pm – Swadlincote
– Saturday 20th October 2012 – 4pm – 10pm – Chatham
– Saturday 3rd November 2012 – 4pm – 10pm – Llandudno
– Saturday 17th November 2012 – 4pm – 10pm – Bracknell

The format of the jams is that of spot prizes so whoever impresses the MC/prize-giver will get prizes ranging from key rings, to beanie all the way to skis and snowboards.
