White resort HAKUBA SANOSAKA is one of the smaller, quieter resorts in the Hakuba Valley, so a great choice for a peaceful, laid-back ski day with plenty of space. Apart from its relaxed atmosphere and gentle terrain (40% is rated easy, 40% intermediate) it’s also famed for its beautiful views out to scenic Lake Aoki.
There are four lifts, two quads and two double chairlifts, which serve eight runs, up to 1.1km (1.3 miles) long. Beginners are particularly well looked after and it’s a lovely, relaxed spot to lean your first turns in peace. There’s also a kid’s slope, a small terrain park and for more experienced skiers who like their bumps, a mogul run.
