Skullcandy the brand born on a chairlift in the world-famous ski resort of Park City, have launched their new True Wireless Earbuds, setting a new standard for sustainability in the audio industry.

Along with providing phenomenal sound quality, these eco-conscious earbuds challenge the wasteful battery production trend by featuring a ground-breaking battery-free charging case, resulting in a 50% lower carbon footprint compared to similar products.

The Earbuds are also crafted with 65% certified recycled plastics and 57% fewer heavy metals, and an environmental impact analysis by third-party partner Ecochain guided the design process, ensuring a 1.35kg CO2eq total carbon footprint.

Skullcandy’s VP of Marketing, Justin Regan, stated, “EcoBuds are a direct challenge to battery-anxiety assumptions, offering all-day battery life without wasteful overproduction and no compromise on sound quality.”

As you’d expect from Skullcandy, the buds have an innovative design featuring a sleek “Glacier” colorway, inspired by natural landscapes, and a minimalistic design with an open-case design to limit plastic use.

The icing on the cake is that the EcoBuds offer an impressive 8 hours of battery life with Rapid Charge, ensuring uninterrupted usage throughout the day (10 minutes of charging gives you 2 hours of playtime) and versatile connectivity with Bluetooth® (v5.2) as well as offering IPX4 sweat and water resistance. They also boast capacitive touch controls enhance user experience.
