Val Thorens has a number of aspects to its holiday offer besides being the highest ski resort in Europe and part of the world’s biggest ski area.
The resort recently issued a ‘My Serenity’ guide, which is aimed at encouraging holidaymakers to practise anti-stress techniques, a resort spokesperson said.
Now the ski area is going a step further by awarding its own ‘My Serenity’ label in collaboration with a doctor Philippe Rodet, who is reported to be, “a specialist in stress management and supervision,” to certify “products, activities, approaches and experiences” that “contribute to lowering stress levels and guiding resort visitors towards a state of sustainable serenity.”
“It’s as much for resort locals and employees as for visitors,” the spokesperson continued.
So far 6 “happiness providers” in the resort have been awarded the new ‘My Serenity’ label. They are ski Qi-Gong by Caroline Vincent, the Serenity Pass by Anita Thevenot, the La Camille ski touring run, the Alpen Art, Supernova and Le Refuge du Lou restaurants.
“New activities will be accredited with the label throughout the winter,” the spokesperson promised.
