Davos ski area in Eastern Switzerland is building a new 6-seater chairlift to replace the Furka T Bar lift for the coming 2017/18 winter season in the resort’s Parsenn region.
The 1,587-metre long chairlift replaces the 45-year-old double and will climb 380 vertical metres over its almost 1.6km length, and transport up to 2,500 people per hour. Travelling at six metres per second it will shorten the journey time from the Gruobenalp to the Parsennfurgga by around five minutes.
“The chairlift is designed like a single-seater – but also features heated seats and covers,” a statement from the resort states.
