With 100 days to go until the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina, Team GB’s freestyle women look set to make a major impact on the snow. The latest GB Park & Pipe squads feature 22 athletes, including some of the strongest names Britain has ever produced in freestyle skiing and snowboarding. In recent seasons, British riders and skiers have claimed World Cup wins, X Games medals, World Championship titles and even Crystal Globes, marking a new era of international success. GB Snowsport Performance Director Kearnan Myall says Britain’s track record in Park & Pipe competition has been “extraordinary”, and he expects the momentum to continue into the Olympic season. Freestyle skiing and snowboarding have become two of Team GB’s most exciting disciplines, with young stars pushing the limits and established names continuing to raise the standard on the world stage. Among this standout squad are five women who have consistently impressed at the highest level and will be key to Britain’s challenge in Milan-Cortina. Here's who to look out for (in no particular order) Zoe Atkin Zoe Atkin Britain’s reigning half-pipe world champion (22) and a top contender for Milan-Cortina 2026. After finishing ninth at her Olympic debut in Beijing, she followed with X Games gold in 2023, silver in 2024, and a World Championship title in 2025. Known for technical precision and fearless amplitude, she’s now refining her run with new tricks and a fresh mindset. A Stanford student balancing sport and study, she’s focused on mental resilience and calculated progression. With growing confidence and momentum, Atkin is poised to challenge for Britain at the highest level in freestyle skiing at the Olympics. Zoe Atkin – Team GB profile Charlotte Bankes Charlotte Bankes Britain’s snowboard-cross powerhouse (30) with two Crystal Globes and three World Championship medals since switching allegiance from France. Her 2025 season ended abruptly with a broken collarbone, dashing hopes of a third World Cup title. “Gutted and frustrated…” she said on Instagram, “but now the focus is on getting the body mended… and coming back stronger next year for a big one .” With Milan-Cortina in sight, Bankes remains determined: “There’s a big progression… we need to be patient.” Charlotte Bankes – GB Snowsport profile Mia Brookes Mia Brookes At just 16 Mia became the youngest snowboard slopestyle world champion, landing the first-ever women's cab 1440. Now 18, she’s eyeing Olympic glory at Milan-Cortina 2026. She enjoyed a sensational season last winter, taking multiple World Cup podiums—victories in Beijing, Chur, Klagenfurt and Laax—and winning the Crystal Globe in Big Air. “The Olympic rings are at the end of the tunnel,” she told Team GB. “But I take it day by day.” After topping multiple podiums last season and showing fearless style, Brookes is focused on progression, not pressure: “You’ve got to switch your mindset on… breathe and go.” Mia Brookes – Team GB overview Kirsty Muir Scottish freestyle skier (21) rising fast in big air and slopestyle. After placing fifth and eighth in the 2022 Winter Olympics, she bounced back from a serious ACL injury in 2023 to win her first World Cup slopestyle event in Tignes in 2025. With podiums at the X Games and Youth Olympics already under her belt, Muir is widely seen as a medal contender for Milan-Cortina. Her technical skill, fearless style and strong comeback cement her status as one of Team GB’s brightest hopes. Kirsty Muir – Team GB profile Katie Ormerod Katy Omerod CREDIT Red Bull One of Britain’s most accomplished snowboarders (27), with World Cup wins in slopestyle and big air—and the first woman to land a double cork 1080. Despite missing PyeongChang 2018 with a shattered heel and battling through a Covid-disrupted Beijing 2022, she won the Crystal Globe in 2020 and returned from a serious bone infection in 2024. Now in peak form, Ormerod enters the Milan-Cortina Olympic cycle with renewed confidence and determination. Her technical prowess and mental grit make her a compelling medal prospect for Team GB.
