Billionaire Pays Utah Record $39.6 Million for Ski-in/Out House

One of America’s 500 richest men, Russell Weiner, the billionaire that created the Rockstar Energy Drink, is reported to have paid $39.6 million for a yet to be built house that offers ski-in/ski-out access to Park  City Mountain Resort, the largest ski area in the US.  The price is a new record for a Utah home.

Mr Weiner’s new house will be built me in The Colony development in Park City’s White Pine Canyon, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The house will have six bedrooms and include its own bowling alley, indoor sports courts, golf simulator and have a “wellness wing”. Hi tec systems will also filter the house’s water and air supply and adjust lighting according to the sun cycle.

Mr Weiner told the Wall Street Journal that Utah is “a pro-family and pro-business state” and that he expected real-estate values will only continue to rise as it “keep attracting people, especially as people run from high tax states.”
