Balkan Holidays, which specialise in holidays to well-known Eastern European ski destinations have dramatically increased their flight route options to Slovenia this winter.

Flying in via Salzburg in Austria, Balkan Holidays now provide flights from 11 airports for winter, up from three previously. Although transfers will be longer than via Slovenia’s main gateway of Ljubljana, they will be only 2.5 hours to the leading Slovenian ski area of Kranjska Gora via Salzburg.

“We have wanted to expand our Slovenia programme for a long time, and adding Salzburg flights from the regional airport hubs makes sense. These new flights and hotels make us the number one choice for Slovenia,” said the company’s Head of Marketing, Louise Newton.

New airports served from the UK this for winter are: Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool and Manchester. Existing airports continuing to be served are: London Gatwick, Luton and Stansted.
