Austria’s Schladming-Dachstein region is setting the stage for an unforgettable winter kickoff as global pop icons the Backstreet Boys headline the Ski Opening 2025 at the start of the coming season.
Following standout performances from Bryan Adams, Sting, Simply Red, and Robbie Williams in recent years, this year’s concert promises to be the most spectacular yet.
The legendary boy band, who have sold more than 130 million albums, will perform exclusively on Saturday 6 December, bringing their signature sound—and a wave of 90s nostalgia—to the heart of the Austrian Alps. Fans can expect beloved anthems like I Want It That Way and Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), along with fresh tracks from their recent reunion albums.
But it’s not just about the music for opening weekend. The Schladming-Dachstein holiday region offers skiers and snowboarders over 230 km of pristine slopes, 77 modern lifts, and more than 100 inviting ski huts and often has one of the largest areas open in the alps in early December. At the centre is the impressive Schladming 4-Mountain Ski Area, delivering 123 km of seamless downhill fun across Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen, and Reiteralm.
