It’s been another snowy March, Spring week in North America.
A third storm in the past week or so to hit the continent’s east coast has brought some huge snowfalls (as pictured above) to the east coast right up to Quebec with resorts reporting as much as two feet of snow in 24 hours and over a metre of snow in the past week. As it had been a warm February that saw a lot of the winter snowpack thaw, that’s excellent news for spring skiing.

There’s been more snow on the West too where bases are really building now after the dry winter – again, good news for spring skiing here too. Mammoth and resorts to the north around Lake Tahoe have seen several feet of snow and there’s more forecast over the coming few days.
