St. Moritz Joins Ikon Pass

St. Moritz is the latest big-name European resort to sign up to one of the increasingly global season passes run by America’s Alterra Mountain Group of ski resorts (the Ikon Pass) or Vail Resorts (The Epic Pass).  

In a social media post, the famous Swiss resort said, “Proud to be part of the Ikon Pass community starting today. Thanks to the new cooperation, owners of an Ikon Pass can ski or board at Engadin ski resorts for up to 7 days per season.”

St Moritz and wider Engadin region means the Ikon pass now provides access to six leading European destinations, among almost 60 destinations worldwide.

Other European destinations included in the Ikon Pass are Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley in France, Dolomiti Superski in Italy, Grandvalira Resorts Andorra in Andorra, Kitzbühel in Austria and Zermatt in Switzerland.

North American destinations on the Ikon pass include Aspen Snowmass, Steamboat, Winter Park, Copper Mountain Resort, Palisades Tahoe, Mammoth Mountain, Jackson Hole, Big Sky (below), Killington, Mt. Bachelor; Tremblant, Banff’s three ski areas, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, RED Mountain, Panorama Mountain Resort and Sun Peaks Resort, Taos Ski Valley, Deer Valley Resort, Solitude Mountain Resort, Alta Ski Area, Snowbird and over a dozen others.

Elsewhere in the world’s there’s Thredbo and Mt Buller in Australia; Coronet Peak, The Remarkables and Mt Hutt in New Zealand; Niseko United and Arai Snow Resort in Japan and Valle Nevado in Chile.

A 24-25 Ikon Pass is on sale now priced at $1,249 for adults aged 23 and over but Thursday 18th April 2024 is the last day to score your Ikon Pass at spring’s lowest prices, prices go up $110 (£88) and some promotions end on Friday 19th April 2024.

St. Moritz was the world’s original winter sports destination, offering itys first snow holidays 160 years ago this year. It has hosted the 1928 and 1948 Winter Olympics and five FIS Ski World Championships.
