It’s looking rather nice and snowy in much of North America this week in  both Canada and the US.

There’s been 20-40cm of fresh snow on the Eastern side of the continent from Quebec South.  So resorts are revelling in the powder.  This was Mont Sutton in southern Quebec on Monday.

In Vermont Killington reported 28cm in 24 hours, Jap Peak 35cm.  Stowe pictured top.

There are also some fresh flakes falling in Colorado, here’s Keystone.  Steamboat was finally able to open 100% of its terrain at the weekend for the first time this season.

But over the past seven days ski areas in the northwest of the continent – Washington State, BC and Alberta have continued to post the biggest accumulations and the deepest bases in North America with up to 60cm in the last 72 hours and bases at up to 4 metres.
