Hot on the heels of their announcement of new services from Exeter Airport for skiers and snowboarders next winter, Crystal Ski Holidays say there’ll also be new direct flights from Yorkshire for the 2017-18 ski season thanks to a new route from Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA).

The new route to Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc Airport in the Rhone-Alps region in France, will take off on December 23rd with once a week flights from their Yorkshire base.

“This is great news for skiers from across the region. We are delighted to be growing our winter ski offering and provide passengers with more choice for skiing routes to popular destinations,” said Steve Gill, Doncaster Sheffield Airport’s chief executive, who added, “Given how close it is to Mont Blanc, Chambéry offers Yorkshire winter sports enthusiasts’ easy access to some of the finest slopes and facilities the world has to offer. I can’t wait to try out this new route and I’m sure that lots of people will be making the most of this new addition from DSA.”

The Savoie Mont Blanc region boasts some 17 ski areas, over 110 resorts and 4,800 km of slopes offering a range of holidays for all abilities. It includes the world famous resorts of Courchevel, Val d’Isère, Méribel and Val Thorens, resorts which are just over 60 miles away from the airport.

Prices start at £348 per person (four sharing) for a week’s self-catering at the Plagne Lauze Apartments in La Plagne 1800 departing on 6 January 2018 from Doncaster Sheffield Airport including airport transfers.
