Tour operator Inghams has announced the launch of its winter 2017/18 Lapland programme, which marks its 20th year as a destination specialist to the north of Finland.
Operating from November to April, the brochure features a wide choice of package holidays including to the leading resorts of Levi, Ylläs and Saariselkä, as well as the newly-added seven night Muotka Wilderness Lodge holiday and Santa Short Breaks.
For this coming winter Inghams is extending its ski season to Lapland right until Easter 2018 (7th April), when usually British operators end their Lapland programmes sooner in the season, will offer new flights from Gatwick to Ivalo to shorten transfer times to Saariselkä to just 20 minutes, and has introduced the newly built Five Star Arctic Hotel in Saariselkä, due to open in December 2017, which combines the rustic charm of a log cabin with the modern comforts of a high-end hotel.
Located in a scenic fell-top location above Saariselkä village, guests will be able to enjoy facilities including a public sauna and a modern restaurant and bar with cosy fireplace.
Large glass windows will adorn every room, offering uninterrupted views over the arctic wilderness. All rooms are duplex suites sleeping two – four people, with an option to upgrade to a luxury suite with private sauna or a glass cabin.
Prices start from £1,479 per person for seven nights on a half-board basis, including return flights from Gatwick or Manchester to Kittilä or new direct flights to Ivalo from Gatwick.
