Proudly Family Run for More Than Two Decades
The Hotel Christiania has been run by the KING family for over 22 years, John, Nicola and their two daughters Rosie & Alice.
With over 40 years of experience in ski hospitality, John has been at the heart of European mountain travel since the early 1980s, organising some of the first charter holidays to Geneva in 1981. He played a key role in opening up resorts like La Clusaz, Alpe d’Huez, and Les Deux Alpes to British skiers, later expanding into North America in the 1990s.
For more than two decades, he operated successful programmes in Verbier, Méribel, and Courchevel. In 2003, John chose to put down roots in Les Gets, a resort he knows and loves, and has been running Hotel Christiania with pride and passion ever since.
