This is our InTheSnow Volkl Mantra V-Werks 2019 Ski Review from the SIGB Ski Test in Galtür, Austria, where we had the opportunity to test out Volkl’s new offerings for the 2018/19 season. The V-Werks 2019 is part of the new and improved Volkl Mantra series for next season and is one we highly enjoyed testing out.

A high performance all mountain ski, the Mantra has been a staple in the Volkl lineup for quite a while and has this year had an update with the new Mantra V-Werks and Mantra M5 models.

The V-Werks combines a carbon layup with a Titanal strip running throughout the ski. It’s lighter and a bit more playful than the other new addition this year, the Mantra M5, but maintains torsional strength and power thanks to the Titanium.

The V-Werks retains the Mantra’s 99mm waist width, but its lightweight construction gives it a much more responsive and fun performance in powder. This is enhanced by a tip and tail rocker that really glides through softer snow with a lovely surfy feel.

Combining the highest levels of performance with the lowest possible weight, the Volkl Mantra V-Werks 2019 is sure to be a popular choice for advanced to expert level skiers next season.
