The Hotel Saint Louis in Courchevel, France, is the first ski hotel in the entire TUI range to be rewarded a GOLD Award by the international organisation Travelife.
TUI is the largest ski operator in the UK running Crystal, Thomson , Flexiski and other brands and is also one of the world’s largest tour operators so this is quite an achievement.
Travelife (travelifecollection.com) is a travel industry-led scheme launched in 2007 in partnership with tour operators and endorsed by ABTA.
A prerequisite for this award is the strict compliance with all the criteria of sustainability that helps hotels to improve the way they manage their social as well as environmental issues.
The gold award means that the hotel management must show that they lead the way and have an active environmental policy, publish regular reports on their sustainability actions, treat their staff fairly and with respect as well as helping local people.
