After another successful season last winter, Chambery Airport is pleased to announce its new programme from the UK for the winter season 2018-19.
There are direct flights to Chambery Savoie Mont Blanc airport from 8 airports in the UK, with two airlines: British Airways and Flybe.
British Airways operates flights from London City, London Stansted, and Manchester. The airline has added a new frequency from Manchester on Sundays (and is keeping the Saturday flight).
From 15 December 2018 to 6 January 2019, British Airways will have a daily flight to Chambéry from London City.
Flybe has flights from Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Manchester and Southampton.
The British market is extremely important for Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport. Last winter, the airport welcomed around 200 000 passengers in total – 85% were from the UK.
Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport specially caters for the British and the ski market: all the staff is fluent in English and specialized to welcome ski winter enthusiasts on busy days.
“The UK is our main market; the fact that BA and Crystal keep increasing their flights show the trust and loyalty of the British skiers for our airport, which is the main gateway to the French Alps” says Nicolas Pelerin, airport director.
Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc is the easiest gateway to France’s most popular ski resorts: Paradiski, 3 Vallées, Tignes, Val d’Isère and many more. Passengers are able to leave the airport quickly thanks to its modest size, and many resorts are under one hour and a half drive (some like Valmorel are even just one hour away).
Independent travellers can easily book transfers from the airport to resorts in the Tarentaise and Maurienne Valleys. The timetables are coordinated with the scheduled flight departure and arrival times so waiting time at the airport is kept to a minimum.
