Things are looking increasingly snowy in Borovets as the ski season draws nearer, raising hopes of as great start to the 17-18 ski season.
The first significant snowfall arrived a week ago and there was more (as pictured above) at the start of this week. Another 15cm (six inches) is forecast for the last week of the month.

However the centre says it is awaiting persistent colder weather before firing up its snow cannons.
Last winter the season began on November 30, 2016 and the resort is hoping for a repeat of that, but is yet to decide on its opening day.
