Nestled in the Kootenay Rockies of southeastern British Columbia, Revelstoke Mountain Resort is a skier’s dream and a snow-lover’s paradise. Known for boasting the longest vertical descent in North America—a staggering 1,713 metres—Revelstoke offers an exhilarating blend of terrain, powder, and charm that sets it apart from other ski destinations.
Revelstoke’s powder is legendary both in terms of quality and quantity. The resort receives an average of over 10.5 metres of snowfall annually, making it one of the snowiest resorts in Canada. The quality of the snow is equally impressive—light, dry, and perfect for carving.

Another of the many things that makes Revelstoke truly special is its diverse big mountain terrain. With over 3,100 acres of skiable area, the resort caters to all skill levels: from gentle groomers for beginners to steep chutes and alpine bowls for seasoned thrill-seekers. The resort’s four signature bowls—South, North, Greely, and Separate Reality—are legendary among powder hounds, offering deep snow and challenging lines that feel more like backcountry than resort skiing.

But there’s something for everyone including fabulously long groomers for beginners and intermediates, all manicured to perfect corduroy. Trails include the almost 10-mile-long Last Spike run which extends from the top of the Stoke Chair to the village, the longest in North America, as well as a gentle-green-rated descent that anyone can tackle. With a progressive lift layout, it’s easy to navigate your way around the mountain.
If all that’s not enough, Revelstoke also offers out-of-this-world heliskiing. In fact, for those who crave adventure beyond the lifts, Revelstoke is the only resort in the world to offer lift, cat, heli, and backcountry skiing from a single base village. This unique setup allows skiers to seamlessly transition from groomed runs to untouched wilderness.
Beyond the slopes, Revelstoke offers great small-town charm to visitors with its authentic mountain town vibe. The town of Revelstoke, just minutes from the resort, is a blend of historic character and modern flair. Local pubs like The Village Idiot serve up hearty fare and après-ski cheer, while the Mackenzie Common Tavern offers tasty craft brews.

Families and non-skiers aren’t left out either. There’s the resort spa, Sointula (meaning “place of harmony”) which offers a variety of treatments available from manicures and pedicures, facials, to relaxation and deep tissue massages, or the Revelstoke Aquatic Centre in town, complete with a 25-metre pool, lazy river and waterslide—perfect for a day off the slopes. There’s loads more to enjoy too nearby, including hot springs if you want to take the plunge or cross-country skiing, snowmobiling or dog sledding through the surrounding winter wonderland. You can watch a genuine Canadian ice hockey game, try ice fishing if you’ve got the patience or go on a fat bike ride over the snow.
Revelstoke offers plenty of ways to unwind off the slopes, from cosy small-town charm to unique local experiences. Catch a film at The Roxy Theatre, grab a treat at a 100% gluten-free bakery and café, or enjoy craft brews at the local brewery pub. For something a little different, check out the Cantina—an incredible Mexican restaurant that also features 5-pin bowling lanes. You can also sip handcrafted cocktails at Monashee Distillery or book a relaxing session in a mobile sauna, locally made by Selkirk Saunas.
To add to the vibe, a variety of events run throughout the season including the Revelstoke Winter Carnival, Natural Selection Tour and installations by the Revelstoke Outdoor Art Movement. These include the Masterpiste Gallery – a collection of more than 20 pieces crafted from recycled skis and snowboards with each paying homage to some of the world’s most famous paintings. Ski past a rendition of Vincent Van Snow’s Self Portrait or Leonardo Da Vinski’s ‘Mona Skisa’. You can even get married for free in Revelstoke on Valentine’s Day, you just need to sign up in advance.

There are plenty of accommodation choices to consider too. Currently, savings of up to 45% on lift tickets and lodging are on offer for bookings made directly by 31 August 2025.
