Banff’s snow conditions just keep getting better – or perhaps that should be “are staying great” with still more fresh snow in the past week and sunny days in between snow showers.
Mt Norquay, Banff’s local hill, has finally ended its season but there’s still a fortnight of winter left to run at Lake Louise and a full four weeks at Sunshine, the last to close for winter each winter in Canada – and one of the last half-dozen non-glacier resorts in the world too.
There’s been about 15cm (6 inches) of fresh snow on top of the already excellent 2 metre deep snow pack at both resorts where all lifts are still turning and pretty much everywhere is open.
