Quebec’s friendly Mont Sutton ski area is celebrating love on the mountain next week with lots of ideas for Valentine’s Day fun.
First up, from the big day on Wednesday, February 14 through to Sunday, February 18, some lucky guests will be able to ride in one of our two red cushioned chairs on the resort’s chairlift II, for a comfortable ascent.
“Who knows, an exceptional encounter could take place on these love chairs!” a Sutton spokesperson said.
Then, along with Open Mic Thursday, on February 15 then country and sunny music with Karine Perreault on February 16 followed by a DJ Caillou set from February 17; Saturday will also see the famous Sutton ‘Heart Hunt’ return in an improved version.
This year, it will be organized by the Sutton En Coeur team who’ll be leaving dozens of red hearts hidden along the slopes just waiting to be found! Those interested should visit the Sutton En Coeur table to start the hunt!
February 14 isn’t just Valentine’s Day; it’s also Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day. Mont Sutton is honoured to partner once again with the Fondation En Coeur to host the second edition of Sutton En Coeur, on Saturday, February 17.
On February 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., skiers, snowboarders and alpine touring fans are invited to get active on the slopes for six hours. This duration was not randomly chosen: it symbolizes the average duration of open-heart surgery. Those wishing to take part must register, alone or in a team, before Wednesday, February 14, at 8 p.m. on the Fondation En Coeur website.
The week of love will end with this event, which aims to support children with heart disease and their families, while raising public awareness of heart health.
Sutton’s ski terrain is currently 100% open and on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday low price promotion will allow lovers to enjoy the slopes and the mountain’s magical panorama for just $49 + tax, until February 15, by buying their ticket online at least the day before their visit. Ski and stay packages are also available.
