Austria is known across the globe for its skiing and snowboarding pedigree, and nowhere is this more obvious than in the state of SalzburgerLand. Plentiful, diverse ski areas, high-quality lift systems, perfectly prepared pistes, deliciously varied culinary options and direct flights from the UK to Salzburg Airport make this an unmissable winter destination. However, don’t just take our word for it! Believe the numbers …

All sounds a bit exaggerated? We don’t blame you, it does all sound almost too good to be true, but really, that’s SalzburgerLand …

22 Ski Regions – 2,000km of Ski Runs

In SalzburgerLand, one card gives skiers and snowboarders access to 22 skiing regions (in the SalzburgerLand and adjoining large ski areas), and the 2,750km of ski runs that they hold. This means you can go wherever the feeling takes you – whether you fancy knee-deep powder runs or long, impeccably groomed pistes. It’s simply perfect for those who can’t get enough of the mountains and love to explore new areas.

The Super Ski Card provides the opportunity for skiers of all ages and abilities to find the perfect mountain, slope, ski area for them and how they’re feeling each day. For families, entire ski areas can be found dedicated just to those travelling with children.

Plus, with the option of getting from one-day up to 14-day passes, you can tailor your experience perfectly to the length of your skiing getaway.

110 Ski Schools – 6,000 Instructors

In SalzburgerLand, expert ski and snowboard knowledge is never far away. There are 6,000 skilled instructors in the area who can offer not only a range of tuition for all abilities but also unrivalled local knowledge of the area. They can share which piste is the best at certain times of the day, which runs are less crowded, which of the many huts serve the best food and even where to find the best après-ski vibe!

Countless Mountain Huts and Gourmet Restaurants

One number that would just be too difficult to quantify is that of the plethora of cosy mountain huts that dot the slopes of SalzburgerLand. Whatever your fancy after a morning’s skiing, SalzburgerLand will serve up delicious cheese dumplings, soups, sausages, pastries and hearty desserts, all sure to leave you refuelled and raring to take on the slopes again!

1 Epic Glacier Resort

For some of the best glacier skiing in Europe, you can’t miss the Kitzsteinhorn, towering high above Zell am See. With low temperatures all year long and perfectly groomed runs for all-round skiing, even in the summer you can feel the snow under your skis, before jumping in the stunning waters of Lake Zell to spend a warm summers’ afternoon. This is an area that truly cements SalzburgerLand’s position as an all-season mountain destination.
