Ski & snowboard training provider, SnowSkool, is expanding its international portfolio of resorts and offering a new programme of ski & snowboard instructor training in the USA at Big Sky in Montana.

Skiers will train for the qualifications of the PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) and snowboarders will train for the qualifications of the AASI (American Association of Snowboard Instructors). All students will get the chance to sit their Level 2 qualifications, successful completion of which will enable them to work as ski & snowboard instructors at resorts throughout the world. Crucially, the SnowSkool schedule includes work experience so candidates will graduate with instructor qualifications and experience working in the industry.

SnowSkool Managing Director, Phil Purdie said: “We are super-excited about working with Big Sky Resort ” we can offer an instructor training course that combines the old-fashioned big mountain experience with modern, luxurious accommodation. With everything from beginner training areas to steep, deep and tight couloirs, this ski hill will constantly ask questions of your skiing/ snowboarding and so continual improvements are guaranteed”.

Brendan Bang, Big Sky’s Marketing & Sales Manager supported this view: “Big Sky offers the biggest skiing in America. The Big Sky Resort-Moonlight Basin interconnect offers access to over 5500 acres of skiable terrain and 4350 feet of vertical drop (the second largest in the USA). This is the ideal training ground for a SnowSkool course.”

Successful graduates of the SnowSkool Big Sky ski instructor course & snowboard instructor course will be able to apply for work through SnowSkool’s instructor recruitment service which covers almost 100 ski resorts in the northern and southern hemisphere.
