Animal’s insulated parka-style Backcountry Snow Jacket has full-on backcountry spec but is designed with some urban chic.
“Basically the designer wanted to create a parka but for the slopes, so it is as fashion-orientated as it is practical,” said a company spokesperson, “Animal do a lot of work with boarder and skiers, so it has loads of features to suit life on and off the piste.”
Made using ‘Wool Effect’ polyurethane the super-snug jacket’s features include waterproof zipped hand warmer pockets, an ergonomic heat zone lining and 100gm body insulation with 80 gm for the sleeves and hood.
The jacket also features a snow skirt, zipped underarm venting, fleece lined pockets, magnetic storm flap closing, single-handed hem adjusters, fitted inner cuff snow stops and an integrated lift pass pocket in the sleeve.
Available in olive green in sizes XS to XXL, the faux fur trim is detachable and there’s an audio cable feed system.
