Mammoth Mountain will be open for snowsports on 4th July.
The Californian ski area has been open for eight straight months since last autumn and currently still has a 4m snow base on upper slopes and is open for skiing with snow cover right down to it’s base.
To celebrate the US Independence day bank holiday weekend the centre has a special combined skiing and mountain biking ticket available for $99 – it’s valid for four days through to Monday.
The Gondola and Facelift Express lifts will operate from 7.30am in the morning until noon for snowsports with mountain biking in the afternoon.
It’s the first time in five seasons that Mammoth has been able to open for Independence Day after four years of drought. In past years it has stayed open as late as August.
