Les 2 Alpes is extending its summer ski and snowboarding season to 10 weeks this winter, opening from mid-June to the end of August.
This overtakes Tignes, which was formerly open year round and remains the ski area what is open for the longest per year as it’s open for two months in the Autumn when no other French area is. In summer 2016 however Tignes won’t re-open its Grand Motte glacier ski area until the start of July.1
Les 2 Alpes glacier ski area peaks at 3,600 metres and has 17 lifts operating in the summer serving 11 runs and a terrain park.
Summer skiing in Les 2 Alpes is from 7am to 12.30pm every day from the 18th of June to the 27th of August 2016.
