Les Arcs is announcing a major change in its operations for the coming winter with plans to open the core of its ski area above Arc 1800 from 9am to 8pm every day.
The “brand new space for sharing and entertainment” will be about much more than just skiing and snowboarding.
It will feature a new toboggan run, a new terrain park, a new ‘discovery slope’ and beginners area and an area for children.
A new gondola with eight-seat cabins will access all facilities. It is scheduled to open in 2015.
The area will also include off-slope attractions including the resort’s new 3800m ² water park including leisure pool and chutes with daytime views through a glass wall out towards Mont Blanc.
The new area is scheduled to open at the start of the season from December 13th, 2014 and will remain open through summer operations in 2015 when snow sports will switch to hiking, biking and golf.
