There’s A New British Hat Brand That’s Turning Heads

There’s an exciting new brand in headwear this winter, and it’s proudly British made.

Cerby was created by two sporting mad older teenagers who wanted to wear oversized, slouchy hats that look and feel good whilst being warm but also lightweight!

Unable to finds anything on the market that quite met their exacting standards (especially just with subtle branding), the dynamic duo decided to start making the perfect headwear themselves, naming their company Cerby.

The initial designs quickly became popular with friends and family and  initially became popular with the surfing community last summer. But now Cerby are introducing their product to the winter sports market, and volunteer skiers and boarders have been piste-testing them out on the slopes of the French Alps and providing very positive feedback.

In fact the suitability of Cerby headwear for both water and snow sports is what the company name is all about. Short for Cerberus, the mythological multi headed dog who guards the entrance to the underworld, the two heads element was chosen by the company’s founders to symbolise the choices to be made by winter sport junkies ; Snow or Surf, Ski or Board, Ride or Jump, Party or Play!

Thus in the Cerby logo design one of the heads looks playful or mischievous the other more suitably serious or disciplined.

Based in the North West of England, Cerby are not just about producing the best hats, they’re also keen to promote UK Manufacturing and all hats are manufactured locally.

Keen eyed hat fans will have spotted Cerby’s headwear at the British Junior Rowing Championships in Scotland last summer along with Regional Rowing competition at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham, which perhaps this explains why Cerby has also been spotted on university campuses and watersport venues.
