Ski In Your Swimsuit in Spain

A week after 1,800 bikini and swim short wearing Russians set a new world record for the number of people skiing simultaneously in swimwear, Sierra Nevada in Spain, Europe’s most southerly ski centre, will stage its third annual ‘ski in your swimsuit’ day.

Participants in the event, this Saturday 25th April, pay half price for a day’s lift ticket at only 16.75 Euros, with a 1 Euro charity donation on top which will raise funds for the Vicente Ferrer Foundation which supports the under privileged.

Along with more bikini and swim shorts clad skiing and boarding that day, known as ‘Bajada en Bañador’ (or ‘Slopes In Your Swimsuit’) promises an International Bossaball Tournament on inflatable mattresses, a fair trade market, Indian dancers and DJ performances.
