Although there’s good snow conditions in most of the Pyrenees, Scandinavia, large parts of Italy, almost all of North America and at higher altitudes in the Alps, some lower areas in the Alps need more snow and that’s an issue for people who have booked package holidays to them for Christmas week, starting on Saturday.
The UK’s largest tour operator, Crystal, has just released this statement:
“Our main priority is to get our customers skiing. Due to the variable weather conditions, the situation is changing rapidly. In those ski resorts where no lifts are operating, we offer customers a complimentary bus service to another ski area for the full duration of their holiday, paid for by Crystal Ski Holidays. For those resorts where there is limited skiing available, our Crystal overseas team are constantly working with resort teams and partners to make sure customers get the most from their holiday.”
