Following the installation of new gondola and chair lifts last winter,. Niseko’s ongoing on-slope upgrading continues for winter 17-18 with news of a new quad chairlift.
The new lift is to be installed in Niseko’s Annupuri sector, adding to its existing fleet of a gondola and four lifts.
The new 433m long ‘Dream Quad Lift No. 1’ will be located at the base of the ski area to provide improved uplift for an expanded nursery area and the gentle slopess at the base of the mountain.
The lif, which will have an hourly uplift capacity of 1200 people, will operate at a lower speed than the existing ones for easier and safer use for less experienced lift users.
“With an expanded piste, the new area is particularly ideal for snow sports beginners as well as for those who aim to step up to an intermediate level,” a resort spokesperson said, who added,
“While the resort’s extensive slopes have always been popular for pleasant long cruising, the new lift, coupled with the world famous powder snow, will complement the resort where all the levels of skiers and snowboarders can enhance their resort experience in Annupuri.”
