For those not already in the know, what’s now being billed as the “Olympic feel-good movie of the summer” is based on the inspirational true story of Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards and stars Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton.

A British movie with an all-star cast Eddie The Eagle, rated PG, follows Eddie (Egerton) and his determination to realise a childhood dream of becoming an Olympian. Despite a series of knock backs he becomes Great Britain’s first Olympic ski-jumper, reluctantly aided by former champ Bronson Peary (Jackman) as his coach. Suddenly an unlikely national hero Eddie is unwavering in his quest to reach the 1988 Calgary Winter Games whether he wins or loses…

The film also stars Tim McInnerny (Notting Hill), Keith Allen (The Others), Christopher Walken (Catch Me If You Can) and Jim Broadbent (The Lady in the Van).
