Skiwear company Peak Performance are inviting skiers to enter a competition to win a job with a difference – the winner, and a friend, will travel to Haines, Alaska, to help professional freeskier Matilda Rapaport before she sets off on her descent during the Freeride World Tour contest from  17th to 25th March 2016.

Describing “I am looking for an outgoing person who loves to ski and travel. I need help with my skis before starting at the top of the mountain,” Matilda commented, when asked what she was looking for in her new on-mountain assistant, adding,

“This is a small but important part in my preparation for a race. Can anyone do the job? My last assistant was a disaster.”

“For anyone who can ski, this is truly the opportunity of a lifetime – it’s a five second job and all the winner has to do is to help Matilda hold her skis before the start,” said a spokesperson for the competition’s organisers.

The winner also gets the opportunity to ski and discover Alaska with Matilda, one of the best freeskiers in the world during a week that includes heli skiing.

Matilda and a team of recruiters will carefully select the best applicants and in the end decide who gets the job.
