Grindelwald is a gorgeous resort in Switzerland with a lot of history. It’s the largest in the iconic Swiss Jungfrau region, which includes Wengen and Mürren and is famous for the spectacular Eiger mountain.
The resort underwent a huge (and extremely exciting) development in the build up to the 2019/20 season. About £370m was invested in the project, known as V Bahn, which will increase capacity on routes up to Europe’s highest railway station, the Jungfraujoch, and dramatically cut travel times.
Englishman Gerald Fox was the first person to ski here all the way back in 1881 and since then, thousands of skiers and snowboarders have followed in his footsteps, taking on the slopes of this epic area.
