Winter Park Ski Resort is one of the top ski destinations in North America, located in Colorado, less than 70 miles from Denver. It has been operating since 1939, making it the longest continually running ski resort in Colorado. It offers a variety of terrain and activities for skiers and snowboarders of all levels and preferences.

Winter Park Ski Resort has seven distinct territories that cater to different styles and abilities of skiing and snowboarding. They are:

  • Winter Park Territory: The most popular and family-friendly area, with groomed trails, terrain parks, and beginner slopes.
  • Mary Jane Territory: The legendary area for advanced skiers and riders, with steep bumps, glades, and chutes.
  • Parsenn Bowl Territory: The highest and most scenic area, with wide-open bowls, powder fields, and panoramic views.
  • Eagle Wind Territory: The most secluded and natural area, with ungroomed trails, trees, and wildlife.
  • Vasquez Ridge Territory: The quietest and most relaxing area, with long cruisers, gentle slopes, and sunny spots.
  • The Cirque Territory: The most challenging and extreme area, with expert-only terrain, cliffs, cornices, and couloirs.
  • Terrain Park Territory: The most fun and creative area, with six terrain parks, halfpipes, rails, jumps, and features.

Winter Park Ski Resort has 25 lifts that can transport up to 40,000 people per hour. The lifts include high-speed quads, triples, doubles, surface lifts, carpets, and a gondola. The resort also has a free shuttle service that connects the different base areas and parking lots.

The ski conditions at Winter Park Ski Resort are usually excellent, thanks to its high elevation (9,000 to 12,060 feet), abundant snowfall (more than 300 inches per year), and extensive snowmaking system (covering more than 1/3 of the trails).

Winter Park Ski Resort is more than just a ski resort. It is also a year-round destination that offers many other activities and events for visitors. Some of them are:

  • Tubing: A fun and exhilarating activity for all ages, with four tubing hills and two conveyor lifts.
  • Snowcat Tours: A unique and adventurous way to explore the backcountry of Winter Park Resort on a heated snowcat vehicle.
  • Snowshoe Tours: A peaceful and scenic way to enjoy the winter landscape on guided or self-guided tours.
  • Ski Bike Tours: A thrilling and novel way to ride down the slopes on specially designed bikes with skis instead of wheels.
  • Uphill Tours: A challenging and rewarding way to ascend the mountain on skis or snowshoes with skins attached to them.
  • Spring Bash + Splash: A festive celebration of spring skiing with live music, contests, giveaways, and pond skimming.

Winter Park Ski Resort is a ski resort that has something for everyone.

Whether you are looking for easy or hard runs, fun or adventure, sun or snow, you will find it at Winter Park Ski Resort.
