The Kleinwalsertal ski area in Austria’s Vorarlberg province is investing €30 million (around £26 million) in updates over the next two years.
A sizeable chunk of this spend has gone on the new Olympiabahn six-seat chairlift, which replaces a drag lift between the mountain terminal and the Ifenhütte lodge this winter. In addition, snowmaking is being increased to cover a total of 13km of runs, and the centre’s Ifenbahn and Hahnenköpflebahn lifts will be upgraded by the start of the 2017/18 winter season.
