Katie Ormerod has won silver in Seiser Alm to make it two World Cup podiums the space of seven days.

The British snowboarder has bounced back resiliently from an injury that kept her out for two years to win back to back medals.

Ormerod took bronze on her return to action in Laax last weekend and put down two impressive runs in Seiser Alm to clinch the silver medal.

Ormerod, 22,  said: “I am unbelievably happy to finish in second place at the Seiser Alm World Cup! I am super excited about my riding and to get back to back podiums is the best feeling ever”.

Competing in a high-class field, Ormerod finished with a score of 72.11 – 3.45 points ahead of third – with only Australia’s Tess Coady (73.48) bettering her.

Katie will now wear the Yellow Bib as World Cup leader and will be back in action in Mammoth and Calgary next month.
