Eddie the Eagle hasn’t ski jumped in over twenty years but this week in Courchevel he managed to fly off the 60 meter jump. Eddie has taken up the challenge of ski jumping again to help raise money for Ski 4 Cancer and will participate next week in the French National Ski Jumping Championships in Courchevel, held every autumn on the artificial surface. A competition has taken place and four lucky winners will travel to Courchevel with him next week to learn how to ski jump for the first time in the capable hands of the Club des Sport trainers with some handy tips from the legend Eddie himself. The winners will then go back again at the end of January and attempt to jump on the 60 or maybe even the 90 meter jump – should Eddie be concerned that they’ll beat him? We shall see, but the four lucky winners are now preparing themselves for an adventure of a lifetime courtesy of Alp Leisure Chalets in Courchevel.
