Chocaholics will be delighted to discover that there are health benefits from cocoa when they sign up for the Rosa Alpina Hotel’s new chocolate – inspired spa and gourmet cookery break in the Dolomites this winter.

Originally consumed by the Mayans, the rare Criollo cacao used in chocolate cookery classes and treatments is rich in antioxidants, with mood enhancing properties and high levels of muscle-relaxing magnesium.

Rosa Alpina guests will create their own chocolate treats with pastry chef Andrea Tortora, awarded Pastry Chef of the Year by the Italian restaurant guide Il Gambero Rosso 2017, and learn about different types of beans with a chocolate and wine tasting. Exclusive wellness treatments include a sugar-cocoa and orange peel scrub and a chocolate massage.

The package starts from €1,145 per person based on three nights B&B at the hotel based on two sharing a Deluxe Double Room.  It includes the chocolate and wine tasting, spa treatment and cookery clss as well as a 5-course tasting menu dinner for two at 2 Michelin star St. Hubertus restaurant, including an aperitif in the chef’s kitchen.
