On Saturday 18th July, select juniors, not ‘yet’ affiliated with a governing body, such as Team GB were invited to their very own chance to shine at The Snow Centre in Hemel Hempstead.
For ages 8-16, boys and girls, riding one plank or two were invited to apply to attend Zoe Gilling’s Talent ID, to showcase their skills to Zoe and her talent scouts in the hope of being identified as ‘up and coming’ British talent in any ski or snowboard discipline.
The Zoe Gillings’, Mitsubishi Talent ID three hour morning session involved expert coaching, alongside attendance, training and observation from Zoe, Cross Snowsports and Performance staff who select the British ski & snowboard cross teams.
After the event Zoe Gillings and her team advised that they have identified a very high skill level among the young skiers and snowboarders taking part in the Talent Session.
The Snow Centre Team and the Talent ID attendees are now hopeful for greater opportunities to develop their on-snow skills.
