After ski through Starbucks, McDonalds and even toilets, Whistler Blackcomb has unveiled what they believe is the world’s first ‘ski-through’ ATM.

The new ATM was erected overnight in partnership with CICB Bank outside the Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler Mountain. The structure stands 8.5 feet high and weighs 4676 pounds and is located 1,850m up.

The full service ATM has certain unique skier features including a glove holder and a place to prop up your ski poles whilst you type in you PIN number.

CIBC has signed a five year partnership deal with Whistler Blackcomb and is also offering whistles, tissues and hand warmers as part of Whistler Blackcomb’s free mountain orientation tours. Visitors will also experience CIBC sponsored events on the upcoming CIBC National Ski Day, Family Day and Canada Day to help celebrate Canada and CIBC’s shared 150th birthday in 2017.

“CIBC is always looking to improve our clients’ experience and our new ski-thru ATM at Whistler Blackcomb is just one of the many ways we’re reaching clients at new heights,” said Stephen Forbes, Chief Commercial Officer, CIBC.
