Britain’s Alex Tilley from Aberdeenshire in Scotland posted her best ever Giant Slalom World Cup result at Lienz in Austria on December 28th.
With a start position of 35 Tilley broke in to the top 20, finishing in 19th place after her second run with a time of 2:08.34
Tilley, of the Gordon Skiers Club, will race again in today’s Slalom in the Austrian resort.
Tilley’s win is the second top 30 finish for a the Delancey British Alpine team in a week following Dave Ryding’s 24th place finish in last week’s World Cup Slalom in Madonna di Campiglio.
